Class Verse
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
Welcome to the Fabulous 2’s!!
We are so blessed that you have chosen to send your precious two-year-old to us. Every child is a blessing and we are looking forward to nurturing them and guiding them as they grow physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Bring your child for a time of fun with friends at the Preschool Get Acquainted Play Day on Friday, August 8th from 10:30 a.m. to noon. This is an opportunity to visit your classroom, Room #23, and then join your child’s friends and parents on the SPCS playground.
Our Parent Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, August 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the SPC Worship Center. (This meeting is for parents only.)
Our schedule for September includes:
Week 1 - Sept 2nd/3rd - Welcome to the First Day of School! We will assign you and your child a 30 minute time slot to come in to the classroom and become acquainted with the room in the company of one or both parents or other family members. I will take a photo at that time to use in the class for them to identify their coat and bag hooks.
Week 2 - Sept 9th/ 10th - We see the World in Multicolors!
Week 3 - Sept 16th/17th - Frogs and other pond animals have hopped into our room to visit us!
Week 4 - Sept 23rd/24th - Welcome to the Farm. There are lots of animals to see and talk about, like sheep and pigs.
Week 5 - Sept 30th/Oct 1st - Did you know that horses and cows live on a farm too? Can you say Moooo…
Our snack time is a weekly rotation where a child is chosen to bring in the snack for the class. Each child will get two turns over the course of the year. We always try to the best of our ability to have a child’s birthday as one of the snack turns if it falls during the school year. While it is not required, certainly they are allowed to bring in a special snack and family is invited to be there for snack. We serve water for our drink. Saves on stains from the inevitable spills at this age :-)
Thank you so much. Donna Price :-)
