All Day Kindergarten News 9/1/07

Bithday celebrations in September are for Haley, Madeline and Zachary. Birthdays are usually celebrated on Friday afternoons and you are invited to come for your child’s recognition. You may send a special snack that the class can share. Remember we have peanut allergies in the room.

In September we will work on the letter sounds Ss, Mm, Aa and Dd. We will cover numbers 1-5 and the color words yellow, red, green and brown. We will do a unit on the Apple Orchard and take a field to Adrians Orchard on September 18th. We will have a special Apple Day with different centers to celebrate God’s gift of apples. Our dinosaur unit will happen at the end of the month and we will welcome our Dads for Dads’ Night. Please check your calendar for all the month’s events.

The year has gotten off to a terrific start. The children have lots of energy and a desire to learn new things. We will keep you posted on their progress.

If you send a peanut item in your child’s lunch, PLEASE put a note on his/her bag or tell the person unloading your car. Our goal is safety for everyone in our class.

Thank you so much for entrusting your children to our care. They are amazing. We feel so blessed to be a part of their lives and being able to help them grow. Pray for us and them each day and give God the glory for the miracles we will see this year.
