I am honored to be teaching at Southport Presbyterian Christian School!

In November of 2000, I moved to North Carolina. My husband served in the Air Force for 8 years. My husband, Matt, and I have been married for 8 years this October. We have two black labs, Bailey and Angus, who are 3 years old.

Mrs. Johnson: Teaching

I graduated from DePauw Universtity in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After graduation I moved to St. Louis, MO and taught 2nd grade at Troy Primary School. After the birth of our daughter, I spent a year as an in-school tutor at Whitefield School in St. Louis. We then decided to move back to Indiana, where I taught 2nd grade in Warren Township. After the birth of our sond, I decided to take time off to be home with our children. In 2007, I jumped back into teaching as the Three’s teacher at SPCS. I am very excited to be teaching third grader this year!

Mrs. Johnson: Family

My husband, Jared, and I got married in 1999 and moved to St. Louis (his home town). In 2000 we were blessed with the birth of our daughter, Reese. After moving back to Indiana for a year, we took a leap of faith and headed out west. We moved to Denver, CO in the summer of 2002. That September our son, Max, completed our family of four. Missing our families here in the midwest, we decided it was time to come home. In 2005 we moved back here to Indianapolis and have no plans of leaving again. All four members of our family are proud to SPCS home, Jared as the sixth grade teacher and our kids as students in K and 2nd grade!
