Two Year Olds
Our goal is to create an inviting, encouraging and positive outlook on “school” and for our youngest students. Twos begin to trust that when mom leaves for a while, she will return. If a child cries, the teachers quickly give loving reassurance and comfort. Children soon learn that this brief time of separation is a pleasant experience. A sense of independence begins to develop.
During their day at school, they are cherished, nurtured, motivated and encouraged. They play in the home living area, play at the water table or build with blocks.
They walk to the playground holding onto a rope for safety, eat snacks after the prayer and sing songs. They listen to stories and do projects like painting at the easel or making a bird feeder from a pine cone and peanut butter. Most importantly, they discover that learning is fun.
