Pre-Kindergarten
These children attend school four days each week and work on reading readiness and math readiness skills individually. Paper and pencil tasks are introduced in a non-pressure approach. Daily learning centers allow each child to explore art, home-living, a computer and blocks to work on large and small muscle development. Play is still a large portion of the day so each child continues to grow socially and emotionally at his or her own pace.
Pre-K children tend to form small groups within the class. They have special interests in science areas: animals, machines and weather, for example. They learn finger plays and listen to stories. They enjoy music and movement classes, library visits and playground activities.
