Kindergarten

Our low child-teacher ratio enables us to concentrate on indvidual progress throughout the year. The goal for each kindergarten child is to learn in a Christian atmosphere, feel good about himself or herself, gain a strong educational foundation, and be prepared for first grade.

The curriculum is based on the individual needs of each child with numerous and varied daily activities. Learning centers abound and change frequently. Children may choose from blocks, art, computer, easel, reading, dramatic play and science. Each student works in math and reading readiness centers in a small group at his or her pace. Children also receive one-on-one instruction.

A kindergarten “day” includes inside/outside free play, dramatic play, computer time, storytime, films, Bible stories, prayer concerns, show and tell, art activities, large/small muscle development, snacks, music and movement classes, library, creative writing, language arts, math, science and social studies.
