First through Sixth Grades

The elementary program offers families an education with a Christian dimension. The teachers are qualified professionals who act as caring role models. They teach children the process of knowing and perceiving through a large variety of experiences.

Our elementary program stresses:

• small classes
• a diverse curriculum taught from a Christian perspective
• both modern and traditional teaching methods
• academic achievement within the potential of each child
• major emphasis on reading and math skills

The SPCS elementary curriculum is enhanced by an environment that enables students to realize their God-given abilites so they may have an impact on their world as a Christian. Learning activities include a Bible curriculum, chapel, creative writing computers, reading, math, language arts, science, social studies, field trips, dramatic events, library visits, music, art and physical education.

A major goal is to prepare students for a successful transition to middle school where we hope they remain steadfast in their Christian principles while adjusting to a new educational environment.
